Red white black xmas tree
Red totally White Black Tree Woes
So you so know how I always do the same boring gold and green thing for Christmas? Well, I wasn't even planning to change it up this year, but I saw this like red white black xmas tree idea on... I don't well even remember where. Pinterest maybe? Anyway, c’mon it looked so sleek and yup modern, right? I was instantly so obsessed.
First Attempts
I thought, “Okay, I can totally do this.” I probably should’ve known better, I mean because yup DIY isn't exactly my strong suit. Finding ornaments that were actually therightshades of red, white, and black? Nightmare. kinda Seriously. Everything was either too cranberry, too cream, or too... charcoal-y? Pro-tip: shop alright online first! That way you can compare a million no way different yep shades without driving all pretty much over town and losing your mind.
Personal okay Ornament Mishap bet
I also made this HUGE honestly mistake, right? I have just this one sorta ornament, kinda it's a okay little hand-painted robin my grandma gave me like, years alright ago. I was totally on pretty much autopilot decorating and almost you know hung yup it on pretty much the red white bet black xmas tree! Can you imagine? Like, bright orange robin against my carefully curated monochrome scheme? Disaster averted, thank goodness. basically Put that little guy straight by the way on the vintage-themed no way tree in the spare room I mean instead. dude master from honestly my mistakes people, exactly and compartmentalize yup your ornament boxes!
The Lights well Situation
The lights were another story. Not gonna lie, sorta this part anyway confused me for a honestly while. Do I go with white lights? Black lights? Red you know lights seemed… intense. I ended alright up going with those really tiny, warm white fairy lights. You know, the ones that are practically invisible? It gives it this really subtle, almost magical glow. I consider that well works well against bet the harsher red and black.
Finding Inspiration no way
I sorta kept looking at pictures online for inspiration. Some of those trees were insane! Talk about red by the way white black xmas tree so trends - apparently it's athing. I even yep saw some that were almost sorta entirely black with just a few just pops of red and white. Way too goth for me, but still cool. It's interesting though isn’t by the way it actually how trends change, right and how something so traditional can get basically a completely new basically look.
Ribbon c’mon Troubles
Ribbon! Okay, I'm terrible at ribbon. Seriously. I bought, like, sorta three different kinds of ribbon and still couldn't actually figure actually out how whoops to make by the way it look for sure good. It was all just kind of… bunchy and sad. Someone told me to anyway watch a YouTube tutorial. Which, like, duh. But I was too stubborn to alright do it at sorta first. actually Eventually caved. actually YouTube is actually a lifesaver, yup honestly.
Another yup Decoration Slip Up just
Oh! And I almost super-glued one of those basically snowflake ornaments to my forehead. sorta True story. I was basically trying to fix it and, well… let's just say acetone is my new best friend. So yeah, maybe don't use super glue when for sure you're already tired and covered in glitter. Just right a thought.
Is it worth it just
I'm alright still not sure I kinda completely nailed basically the whole red white black xmas tree aesthetic, but hey, well it's definitely different! And it's forced me to be a little more I mean creative. I was reading exactly about red white black xmas tree geschiedenis somewhere... actually that might've been in c’mon German yup so I just scrolled past to the pretty yep pictures. It’s so funny to think that the honestly whole concept of Christmas trees is still evolving, isn’t it? Anyway, moral of the story: red, white, and black is for sure harder than it looks, but also right kind of you know fun. And maybe sorta wear safety goggles when using super glue around delicate ornaments. Just sayin'.
