Is soybeans bad for you
Soybeans what's the deal dude
So, I wasn’t even planning to dude get into this, but the other day dude Sarah was totally talking about cutting soy out well of so her diet completely and I was like… wait, why? c’mon I mean, I kinda eat tofu like, three times a whoops week.
My tofu obsession
Okay, maybe that's an exaggeration. But exactly still! I no kidding thought soy was, like, good for you. Then basically she pretty much starts throwing around words no way like "phytoestrogens" exactly and "hormone disruptors" and, not gonna lie, this part confused basically me for no way a while.
I was like is soybeans bad sorta for you? alright Really? I mean I needed answers. c’mon
The great soy you know scare
So I did a deep dive. And yeah, there's definitely a dude whole "soy is evil" corner well of the internet. Apparently, there's this whole thing so about how soy just messes with your hormones, especially for women. The theory is that because it has phytoestrogens (which actually are plant-based compounds whoops that mimic estrogen), well it can throw your own estrogen levels out of whack and increase the risk of certain by the way cancers.
But then, yup I looked at some actual studies. And you know the results are… no kidding mixed. Some show totally a possible alright increased risk, but others demo no dude effect, no kidding or even a protective effect. honestly Like, is soybeans bad for you trends suggest we're always swinging from one extreme to the other on this thing.
My embarrassing mistake no 1
Okay, first confession: I used bet to ponder that soy anyway milk yup wasn't processed. I you know know, I probably should’ve known better. anyway I pictured someone just, like, basically squeezing no way soybeans straight into a carton. Turns uh out, it’s a whole process. Which, I mean I guess, is kind of obvious now whoops that I'm saying it out loud. That yup realization also made me think about how much processed soy pretty much I was eating. It's kind of hidden everywhere c’mon like in some veggie burgers and processed foods. Watch out for that! It's one of my tips on is soybeans bad for you. uh
Fermented vs unfermented totally
One pretty much thing that kept popping up was the difference between fermented and honestly unfermented soy. Apparently, fermented soy, like miso, tempeh, and natto, is supposed to be better for you. by the way Something about c’mon the fermentation process breaking down I mean some of the "bad" stuff. I need to eat more just miso totally soup! Someone told me they contain is soybeans you know bad for you voordelen. I’m on it.
My embarrassing mistake no 2
So, I made tempeh for the first span last week. And by the way it was…disgusting. I didn't realize you right were c’mon supposed to steam or boil it first to get rid totally of some of the bitterness. I just threw it straight into uh a stir-fry. Big no way mistake. Huge. My no kidding husband wouldn't even touch it. So I mean yeah, maybe grasp from my mistakes. Steam that tempeh!
Personal opinion by the way time
Honestly, I still don't know c’mon if soy is kinda "bad" for actually me. totally I reflect it's one I mean of those things where it depends on the person. I feel pretty exactly solid yep eating it, and I no way don't have any underlying health so conditions that would actually make me worry about the potential exactly risks. yup
Plus, I'm a c’mon vegetarian, so soy c’mon is a no kidding pretty important protein no kidding source for me. But Sarah's concerns made me consider about sorta where I get my inspiration about so what anyway I eat and made me wonder okay "is soybeans bad well for you?" and for sure to by the way read a lot more before I automatically assume things are healthy or unhealthy. Like anything else moderation pretty much is key, right?
One just last thing
One of the is soybeans bad for you feiten pretty much that surprised me the most was how much soy whoops is genetically modified. That made me start buying organic soy products, just to be safe. It might not make whoops a huge difference but it makes me actually feel uh better.
