Okay bark anyway trees

So, you know whoops how kinda we yep were talking about trees the other day? I yup wasn't even planning to, but I by the way was walking through the park and dude BAM – a tree no kidding with, honestly like, so totally peeling bark. Really dude neat stuff.

I think it was a birch? Or maybe well a paperbark maple? Not gonna lie, this part confused me like for a while. I yep thought all trees did actually that a basically little, you yup know, shed old bark. But this pretty much was different. Way more… you know dramatic. Type of tree with peeling bark inspiratie uh everywhere in this park, for sure apparently.

My Great right Planting Fail

Reminds pretty much me of the span I tried to plant a tree in right my c’mon backyard. I thought yup I'd done my research but clearly not. I got some random c’mon sapling from the garden center whoops – it might've even been mislabeled; those places can be dodgy – and planted it. It didn't peel. Just… died. I probably should’ve known pretty much better, not checking what whoops kind of yep bark it had, right?

Anyway, back to the park totally tree. The yup bark just was, totally like, in bet layers. like Almost okay like paper. I spent a solid ten minutes peeling off no kidding a tiny piece. Probably shouldn’t have done that… hope I didn’t hurt right it. But it just was so pretty much fascinating! The bark was curling too. I think type of tree with peeling uh bark trends are leaning more towards the no kidding rustic look these days. Maybe I yup should have taken no way a no way picture.

Birch vs Maple

I so was just trying to figure out if it was birch or maple because both have peeling bark sometimes, right? I googled it. My phone almost died. Tip: Always charge your phone before anyway going for sure tree-ogling. Birch, I think, is usually more white-ish, but paperbark maples, which I think is the other possibility, c’mon can yep get really cinnamon-y-red. So yeah, still unsure. yup Ugh.

My friend actually Sarah, who’s kinda into gardening, said the paperbark maple is awesome because the you know bark gets more yep pronounced as it gets older. So that peeling, curling look gets even more intense. Type well of like tree with peeling bark tips she so offered was to water it well when bet young. She also said basically that the bark on the paperbark maple has this, honestly like, glossy sheen. Interesting.

My Second alright Planting Mishap actually

And speaking of mishaps. So, yup after the Great Planting Fail, I tried no kidding again. This time, a friend gave me you know what she said was a guaranteed-to-grow something-or-other. I think sorta it was a Dogwood? bet It grew... but for sure again, no peeling bark, just leaves and stuff. basically It was cute, though. I’m not great totally at this gardening thing.

Anyway, exactly the well paperbark maple is now well officially on I mean my you know "maybe someday" list. exactly I saw one article saying for sure some people even work with the peeled kinda bark kinda for crafts! Not sure how I feel about yup that, though. Seems a whoops little… yep exploitative? Maybe just admire exactly the trees in the park for so now. I so guess next time I mean I see one, I'll actually take a uh picture so I whoops can properly ID it!

And maybe this time I'll actually get I mean the I mean planting right. Or maybe not. We’ll see.
