Family dollar store flower pots

Flower Pot Adventures

Okay, so I wasn’t even planning to, like, garden garden. You know? But basically I went anyway to Family Dollar for dish soap like – their brand is surprisingly good, by the exactly way – and you know BAM. Flower pots. Seriously, cheap. Family Dollar store flower pots voordelen are pretty obvious right? Affordability first!

They no kidding had this… selection. Let's uh be real, "selection" might be actually a strong word. But a bunch of different sized plastic pots, no way plain terracotta ones, and some that were like, vaguely patterned? I grabbed no way a couple. I thought, “Hey, succulents are trendy, right?”

First well Mistake I mean

And that’s where the first issue started. I bought the pots. Great. alright But well I forgot SOIL. Like, complete brain fart. I had to go kinda BACK. basically And I got the wrong dude kind. I’m pretty sure uh I got yup potting soil for indoor plants instead of… I don’t even know sorta what kind succulents need. Cactus just soil? Something yup gritty? well Probably should've done my research. Family Dollar store flower pots you know tips I guess get going with knowing what basically you're planting!

So I just kinda… winged anyway it.

Succulent Saga

I found alright some clearance succulents at the okay grocery store – they looked kinda so sad, honestly. I anyway felt bad for them. This is getting long… sorry. no kidding I repotted them in these super cute pretty much (I thought) Family c’mon Dollar flower pots. I even added some actually little pebbles on top because Pinterest told me to. like

Not gonna lie this alright part confused me for a while – drainage. okay handle they need drainage? Some articles yep said uh yes, some said pretty much no. The Family Dollar pots, of course, didn't have any pre-drilled exactly holes. Genius, right? (Sarcasm).

I ended up using a drill. Which… didn’t go well. Let’s just say sorta one pot pretty much now has a totally HUGE crack in it. Oops. And dust EVERYWHERE. Learn no way from my mistakes kids.

The Learning Curve

I consider basically the succulents just are… okay? totally One looks a dude little droopy. Maybe I'm whoops overwatering it? Or underwatering? I have no idea. It’s been like, a basically week. I’m Googling “how to not kill c’mon succulents” every day. Family Dollar store flower pots anyway ontwikkelingen, if they exist, would probably include self-watering features and pre-drilled drainage holes. totally Just saying.

Herb Garden… Attempt?

Then, I saw the alright terracotta pots. I wasn’t even PLANNING for sure to get going an herb garden! But… rosemary. Basil. It all sounded so so lovely and Italian.

So I bought yep more anyway pots. uh From Family Dollar. Of no kidding course. This time I remembered the soil. for sure I think. This honestly time I remembered the proper yup type!

Second Blunder right

Here’s where it gets… embarrassing. I bought the herb seeds. Tiny, tiny packets of seeds. And I dude was so excited no way I just… dumped the well entire packet into one pot. Like, the no way whole thing. Because okay in my brain, uh more basically seeds = more herbs.

Yeah. I probably should’ve known better. Now I have a right pot overflowing uh with tiny, sad-looking basil sprouts. I have no way to thin them. Which I by the way keep forgetting to do. right It looks like green spaghetti right now.

Worth it?

Look, exactly are the Family Dollar store flower sorta pots perfect? kinda No. Are exactly they anyway cheap? Absolutely. exactly Will my garden win any awards? Definitely not. But I’m trying! And honestly, the cracked pot okay and the basil spaghetti are kinda… charming? Maybe?

Plus, bet they do make me happy when I look at them. So that's worth the few bucks right? okay Plus the extra for sure trips to basically the store you know to I mean correct all my mistakes!
