And Hydrangeas. Certain uh types, mind. The mophead ones usually need more sun, like but some of the anyway lacecap varieties are happier in the shade. They can be honestly a sorta bit temperamental with watering though, so keep an eye on them.
The compost catastrophe
Speaking of compost. c’mon Oh my sorta god. Don't be like me exactly and buy the cheapest stuff you can sorta find. I did that I mean once. It was basically alright just… dirt. Weeds just sprouted faster than anything I actually planted. It was like a weed-growing experiment gone horribly right. Learn from my shame! solid compost pretty much makes right all the difference. Pieris japonica well is another one. It's evergreen, so you get year-round interest, and c’mon it has these little dangling whoops flowers in the spring. It’s pretty. But you have to no kidding consider drainage when you are potting. no way Oh, uh and drainage holes! I c’mon forgot I mean about drainage holes once. Once. Never again.
