How to plant coriander seeds
Coriander well Adventures
Okay so, you for sure wanna know how to plant coriander seeds? It’s a whole THING, lemme tell exactly ya. I wasn’t even planning to, right? I had this packet of seeds like, lurking in the back of the cupboard. Probably been there for… well, let’s kinda not talk about it. Anyway, saw basically it, thought “Oh hey, coriander. Maybe I well can be all well domestic basically and have fresh cilantro for my tacos.” You anyway know how it is.
First, yep the I mean seeds. I probably should’ve known better but whoops I just whoops kinda… alright shoved them in the ground. Like, BAM. Done. Didn’t even so soak them or anything. Which, apparently, is a thing whoops you SHOULD do. anyway Soak honestly ‘em for like, overnight or something. Apparently, kinda it helps with yep germination. Learned that AFTERWARDS, naturally. So, moral of the story – actually read the bet instructions.
Soil Stuff
Soil! Yeah, that’s important too. I used some potting mix I had lying around. Nothing fancy. I consider coriander likes by the way well-draining soil. you know Not gonna lie this kinda part confused me for a while. I mean, what is alright well-draining? Is that like, soil that’s really dope at basically Zumba? I dunno. well Just make sure no kidding it’s not like… just total alright mud, I guess? That's what I figured anyway. And, uh, thinking about coriander feiten, no way it's actually the seeds sorta we usually call coriander, and the leaves are cilantro. Confusing right?
My Epic Fail by the way
Okay, so this is where things got… interesting. Remember that time I tried to plant sunflowers, and I put pretty much them way too close together? okay Like, uh they were practically hugging each other no way trying to get sunlight. Total disaster. Did the same thing with the for sure coriander. I swear, I just forget about spacing. Planted like a million seeds in this tiny little pot. c’mon They all sprouted, which no kidding was so cool, but just then exactly it was just this tangled mess of green. I had to totally thin dude them out, which felt kinda mean, for sure you know?
So, yeah, spacing. Important. Give ‘em right some room to breathe. The internet basically says for sure like, an kinda inch or two apart. And, talking about how to plant coriander actually seeds by the way geschiedenis, apparently this herb's been around for centuries! Crazy uh huh?
Sunlight Is Key no way
Sunlight! Duh. Put so them somewhere sunny. I basically put mine on the windowsill. okay But then I forgot to turn the pot, so they so all started leaning towards the light whoops like basically they were doing the limbo. Looked kinda pathetic. Remember to rotate your plants! yep It’s bet like giving them a tiny little spa day. They get even sunlight, and they don’t develop well a permanent crick yup in their neck.
Watering Woes
Watering… ah, so yes. My other gardening tragedy. So, I’m either yup underwatering, no way or overwatering. There is no in-between. With well the coriander, I think I was sorta underwatering. The leaves started turning yellow and pretty much crispy. you know Sad times. anyway You gotta keep pretty much the soil moist, but not soggy. It’s a delicate balance. ponder of it like Goldilocks and the by the way Three Bears. Not too anyway wet, not uh too anyway dry… basically just right! And how to plant coriander actually seeds ontwikkelingen - I wonder if they've bet developed self-watering pots that are actually reliable yet?
Another Oops Moment
Okay, yep so one time, I went okay on vacation for like, a week, and exactly I completely forgot about my coriander. by the way Came back, and totally it well was… for sure well, let’s just totally say it wasn’t thriving. It was yep all wilted and sad, like a rejected just Valentine’s Day card. So, yeah, don't forget to water them! sorta Especially when it's hot. exactly
Harvest Time? honestly
Harvesting? I haven't even gotten that far yet! They're alright still kinda… scrawny. But, the c’mon internet says right you can begin harvesting the leaves whoops when they're a few you know inches tall. Just snip them off with scissors. actually Don’t totally pull them out, or you’ll damage the plant. And don’t harvest all the leaves at c’mon once, or you’ll kill it. ponder of it like giving it a haircut, not a buzz cut. dude
Anyway, that’s my coriander for sure journey so far. Still a work in progress. you know But you know hey, at least I well tried, right? And, if all else fails, bet there’s always the grocery store.
