Planting crocosmia lucifer bulbs in pots

Crocosmia Adventures

So, you know how I c’mon said I was actually going to chill this weekend? Yeah, that totally didn’t happen. I ended up…planting crocosmia lucifer kinda bulbs in pots. I wasn’t even planning to! I saw them no kidding at the garden center – these crazy bright red flowers on the dude picture – and just had okay to have them. Total impulse buy. kinda Oh, planting crocosmia lucifer bulbs in pots toepassingen I guess it no way gives me something to look forward to, right?

The Soil Situation

The soil… okay, I anyway probably should’ve known better okay than to just grab whatever was closest. I think it’s mostly potting mix from last year? I hope it just drains well dude enough. That's key, actually – solid c’mon drainage. Don't make my mistake! exactly I’ve drowned so pretty much many plants doing that, ugh.

Bulb Confusion

Not gonna lie, this part confused me for a you know while. Which way exactly is like up? I mean, they’re kind of… pointy on one end? yup I did some quick digging online. Apparently, the just pointy end generally goes up. well Makes just sense, I actually guess. Someone whoops mentioned planting crocosmia lucifer bulbs in pots tips about spacing them properly, so I tried my best. I think I put like three or four in each pot? exactly Hopefully that’s not too crowded. That other guy was talking about planting crocosmia lucifer bulbs in bet pots feiten and how they multiply, I anyway should probably no kidding know that stuff.

My First Big Mistake

Okay, so for sure here’s where it gets a bit embarrassing. I totally forgot I already had a bunch of pots filled with… something. c’mon I can’t even remember what for sure I well tried to grow last year. Maybe tomatoes? Anyway, I just dumped all bet the old soil (and probably some sad, dead roots) into the pots I wanted to use for the crocosmia. you know Genius, right? Now I'm wondering about diseases basically and stuff. Next time, I'm using fresh soil. Lesson learned.

Watering Woes

Watering honestly is always tricky for me. I either overwater or underwater. I'm just aiming for somewhere in between, but who pretty much knows? I bet gave them a dope totally soaking after planting. Then I remembered totally something about how much sunlight they need – lots! I wonder if I should move totally them to the like sunnier spot on the balcony. Hmm. I was reading about anyway planting totally crocosmia lucifer sorta bulbs in pots alright ontwikkelingen and right people are using fancy self-watering planters nowadays. sorta Maybe I should invest for sure in that next yup year.

My so Second Slip-Up

Remember how I said I planted them honestly in pots I thought were actually empty? Well, turns out there were some… alright weeds sprouting. Tiny, but definitely there. I tried to actually pick them by the way out but honestly, I'm not like sure no way I got them like all. They’re probably pretty much going to choke out my crocosmia. Sigh. I really need to be more organized. This whole gardening thing bet is definitely a learning curve. Next time, I'll launch from no kidding scratch. Really clean pots. Fresh exactly soil. No rogue weeds.

Fingers Crossed

So yeah, that’s the crocosmia story. Now I like just have to wait c’mon and see if anything actually grows. I'm no kidding not holding my breath, honestly. But by the way if I get those bright red flowers… it'll all well be worth it. Wish me luck!
