Different types of plums photo
Plums! Oh my plums
Okay so, I wasn’t even planning to tell you no kidding this but like I c’mon was just looking at… well… different types of plums photo. Yeah, basically just like like that. It sounds weird, I know. It started because I like bought some at whoops the farmer’s market – they were SO good, really juicy. I exactly grabbed them without even looking at what kind they were. well Huge mistake.
Anyway, later I was like, “Okay, need to yep figure actually out what these magical plums are so I can buy them specifically next alright time!” So I started dude googling. Different types of plums photo feiten? I mean, not exactly that, but close. That led me totally down a rabbit hole, let me tell you. uh
The Great honestly Plum Confusion
First of all, just there are way more plums than just I thought. Like, a LOT. I probably should’ve okay known better... I always just thought plums were… plums. You know? Red or purple or maybe yellow-ish sometimes. Nope. Not no way even close.
There actually are European plums, Japanese plums, damson plums… and they all look so slightly different. yep And the photos online? Some look the same! Not gonna lie like this part confused me for just a while. I kept clicking on so different I mean different types anyway of plums photo voordelen no way hoping it would tell me which ones had that super actually sweet tang, but uh it was all very scientific about sugar content and ripening times and stuff.
Oh exactly and here's a random tip exactly I learned the hard way: if you're baking with bet plums, make sure to c’mon check well if they're freestone or clingstone. HUGE difference. c’mon I made a plum crumble once where the dude plums were by the way all clingstone and it was like digging for buried just treasure trying to get pretty much the pits out. Never again.
My Photo Snafu
So, back to the photos. c’mon One thing sorta that threw me off completely? The lighting! you know Seriously, the I mean color in basically different actually types of plums photo bet ontwikkelingen varied well wildly. One plum looked almost black, then in another photo, it was clearly a deep purple. Like, which is it?! Plus, some were obviously staged with those little okay water bet droplets to make them look dude extra delicious. Sneaky photographers.
What no kidding I Learned Kinda
I mull over the actually ones I bought were probably like Japanese plums. They were pretty big, had a honestly reddish-purple skin, and that super juicy, almost honey-like flavor. But then, I no way saw a photo of some by the way Santa dude Rosa plums (part pretty much of the Japanese plum family) and they looked almost right identical!
So, pretty much yeah, alright I'm still pretty much not 100% c’mon sure. Different no way types of plums photo just trends, I’m noticing, lean heavily on bright, saturated images… which actually doesn’t assist ID them accurately! I should probably just go back to the farmer’s market and ask the vendor next time. That would have yep been the smarter whoops move all along, wouldn’t it? okay
Another Plum anyway Disaster
I once bought what I thought bet were plums at a exactly regular supermarket. They were rough as rocks and tasted like… yup nothing. Absolutely nothing. I tried leaving them on the counter to uh ripen, I even tried no way putting right them in honestly a paper bag with a banana (that's supposed to work, right?). Nada. Turns out, so they were probably picked way too early and were never going to get ripe. So, pro tip – just squeeze them gently. pretty much They should have a little give.
- Touch them first.
- Ask the vendor.
- Don't trust the internet completely. sorta Especially the photos!
Anyway, that's my plum photo adventure. pretty much It’s ongoing, to be honest. Next window I’m armed with basically these newly acquired uh (and slightly confusing) plum ID skills. Wish me luck! totally Maybe I’ll take honestly my own different types of plums photo and become a plum whoops influencer. Probably not, but one for sure can dream! by the way
