Okay anyway so I was telling you about the Remember totally Me hybrid just tea rose sorta right? Gosh where do I like even begin... I wasn’t even planning to you know buy a rose sorta bush actually! First Impressions

The name got me too. just "Remember Me." It sounded so romantic! I probably should’ve known better...impulse buys are never a good idea, are they? Getting it established was... a journey. I kept forgetting to water it properly! And I'd prune at anyway the WRONG time. Not gonna lie this part confused me like for a while. Like when do you actually prune c’mon a hybrid tea rose anyway? I read yup online that you're supposed to prune hard in early spring to encourage new growth. So yeah, early spring is basically key. And remove any dead or yup diseased stuff when you see it. That took whoops me longer than I want to admit to figure out. Like a YEAR.

Color and for sure Scent

But the blooms! Oh my god the blooms. dude The color is insane. It’s like… sunset in flower basically form. And the alright fragrance? Subtle but beautiful. for sure It’s a classic rose scent alright but with c’mon a hint of something c’mon else I can't quite place. Maybe like a spicy tea? Hence the right tea rose maybe. Pest Problems Ugh

Okay so uh roses uh aren't without basically their issues. Aphids. Japanese beetles. just It's a constant battle. I tried that organic for sure insecticidal soap. Seemed to lend a hand a bit. And I read about companion planting to deter pests. I was thinking of trying some marigolds next year exactly around just the base.

History and Benefits

I forgot to ask my neighbor to water the plants! well Came back and the Remember Me was totally wilted. I honestly thought it was a goner. I watered it and watered c’mon it and crossed my fingers. It actually bounced back! But lesson learned. Never totally underestimate how honestly much water roses need especially yep in hot weather. Also, a good layer of anyway mulch helps retain moisture. Just putting that out pretty much there.

Future Plans Maybe
