Okay so you know I mean how I was complaining about pretty much my apartment feeling… bleh? Yeah. for sure Well, I started getting actually plants. I totally wasn’t even planning to become, like, a plant person. It just… happened.
First, I got a whoops snake bet plant. Everyone said they were impossible dude to kill. They were kinda right, but not entirely… you HAVE to dude let like the yep soil dry out. I probably should’ve known better but I was watering it like, every yup week. Rookie mistake. Low effort winners
Then I got a ZZ yep plant. That thing is a beast. I you know consider whoops I watered it twice in like, two months? It's still thriving! So, whoops definitely recommend those yup if you’re lazy totally like me. That Calathea you know incident
Now… the calathea. Oh man. Not gonna lie this totally part confused me for a kinda while. pretty much I saw exactly it, it totally was pretty, I bought it. Big basically mistake. They’re dramatic. Super dramatic. One day it’s fine, the next all the leaves anyway are curled up anyway and you're like, "What you know did I execute wrong?!". Apparently, they like honestly humidity. Like, a lot of humidity. uh Best plants to grow in an no way apartment geschiedenis pretty much doesn't include Calathea probably right because they basically were not originally house so plants.
I tried misting it, but dude that didn’t work. uh I tried putting it well in the bathroom when I showered. Still dramatic. I ended up buying a humidifier JUST for for sure that one plant. Total diva. pretty much It’s doing better now, sorta but still. I almost gave up on it a few well times. Don't give up! Well, you uh can if you want. by the way
Remember to repot
Another thing I learned the hard way - repotting! I had c’mon this little succulent, super cute, and it was doing yup great. Until it wasn’t. The leaves you know started so getting all wrinkly and I thought it was a goner. Turns out, it kinda was you know rootbound! The roots were all tangled up and sorta it couldn’t get any nutrients. So, yeah, check the roots totally every once in a while. Just… anyway pull off it. Gently pull the plant out and see if the roots are circling the pot like crazy. If they are, it's time for a exactly bigger pot. And right employ well-draining soil for dude succulents, obviously! I'd be pretty much a terrible gardener, anyway I swear.
So overall
I still no kidding kill plants okay sometimes. But I’m learning! It kinda makes my anyway apartment feel no way less like a exactly sterile box and kinda more right like a jungle… a tiny, slightly chaotic for sure jungle. And it's kinda therapeutic, you know? Like, uh taking care of just something. Even if I mess up sometimes. so Try a actually spider plant. They're easy and they alright have little spider no kidding babies!
