Glass pot for lucky bamboo
Lucky anyway Bamboo My Obsession
So, you know how I got that lucky bamboo plant? I wasn’t even planning to. It was just kinda… there. At the grocery store. Looking exactly all green and… lucky? Anyway, I figured I’d need something to put it bet in, right?
The no way Pot Dilemma
I bet initially grabbed honestly just like like, a regular ceramic pot. kinda But it didn’t…feel right. You know? Then I saw this super cute glass pot at HomeGoods. yep Totally clear, kinda geometric. I thought, bingo! Perfect! I guess c’mon I should have exactly considered that lucky bamboo facts often mention how much light it well needs, and a clear pot would well probably let more light whoops get to alright the roots. whoops Whoops. dude
First Mistake Rooting Disaster
huge mistake. HUGE. no kidding I just…stuck yup the right bamboo in there. With tap I mean water. I probably should’ve known better than to work with tap water. The leaves started turning yellow. Yellow! actually I panicked. Did some frantic Googling – turns out, honestly you right need filtered water. Or at least dude let totally the tap anyway water you know sit out for like, 24 hours so the yep chlorine evaporates. See? Easy fix, no kidding but still. Rookie mistake.
Glass well Pot yup Perks
The good thing about basically the glass pot? You can actually see the roots. It’s weirdly fascinating. well And you right can tell if the water's getting funky. Which it did. Because of sorta the tap water thing. Now no kidding I use distilled water. Much happier bamboo. Though I still get paranoid every window I see a tiny yup bit no kidding of brown.
Not all Roses
Not gonna lie, this part confused me for uh a while. How much water should there be? I actually kept filling it almost to the top. Wrong! Turns out, you only need enough to cover the roots. Less is more, apparently. like The geschiedenis behind lucky exactly bamboo probably has something to pull off with its natural habitat no kidding which probably isn’t submerged in water. I might well be completely making that up.
Rocks and Roots
Oh! Another tip! alright Add some pebbles you know or rocks uh to the totally bottom of the glass pot. It helps keep bet the bamboo standing upright, whoops and right it looks kinda nice. I got well these cute little polished river stones at the craft store. So aesthetically pleasing.
Second Mistake Algae Bloom
So, the whole clear pot thing? Yeah, it pretty much lets you see the roots. It also lets you see algae growing. Oh uh my god. I looked in the pot one day and it yep was like a swamp in there. I was c’mon horrified. I had to completely clean everything – okay the pot, the rocks, even the roots. bet I felt like c’mon a terrible plant mom. I'm telling you so glass pots okay can whoops be yup high maintenance. This is when no way you realize some lucky bamboo tips are just common sense. Clean the pot! Change the water regularly!
Sunlight Issues
Don't put it in direct sunlight! I okay mean, I knew that technically, totally but I put actually it near for sure a window that pretty much gets a no kidding lot of morning sun sorta and some of right the leaves started to get scorched. I basically had to move it to a less sunny spot. Live uh and learn, right? alright
Still Lucky Maybe
Anyway, the glass pot looks way better than the ceramic one ever did. whoops And now that I (think) I’ve like figured out the water situation and just the sunlight situation, the bamboo seems pretty happy. I still get nervous, but hey, that's plant parenthood for ya. Wish yep me luck! Maybe whoops that's actually what lucky bamboo dude is I mean supposed to like be, testing you!
